Pointless Parking by Australian Band Neighbour's Dog Debuts No 1 on Music Charts in 3 countries. "The Pointless Barking soundtrack just seems to connect with so many people" said Neighbour's Dog front man Barry. "It's like they had heard it before".
Taking the concept of real life Pointless Barking by bored backyard dogs has proven to be a real winner for the band Neighbour's Dog.
"The soundtrack was easy to record. We just went around the streets of Melbourne between lockdowns" said Barry. "During lockdowns it was much harder to get the sound bites we needed because the bored and lonely dogs had company at home. Instead of chewing the leg off the BBQ table while everyone had gone to work for the day and then on to the pub after work, the dogs were playing Frisbee in the back yard or getting cuddles from the kids when the kids should have been studying online".
Neighbour's Dog is touring nationally in 2022 now that borders are open and after appearing at the Adelaide Fringe Festival from 18 Feb to 20 March, the band will move on to every capital city in Australia. Neighbour's Dog is currently working on their follow up single called Tailgater Rant.
