'Go out with a bang!' : Australian Government offers free extreme sports to over 70s to reduce demand for aged care beds.

In an effort to reduce 3000 aged care residents jamming up hospital beds the Australian Government is set to announce a new plan: free extreme sports to anyone over 70 on the pension.

Sky diving, luge, bungy jumping, white water rafting are all on offer.

The idea is that some oldies might die on these excursions saving the need to find aged care beds.

The program will be called; ‘go out with a bang’ and encourage old and financially strained individuals unable to look after themselves in old age to ‘go out with a bang’ and enjoy life right to the end.

The program will also offer free ‘black water rafting’ in NZ.

This is like whitewater rafting in Australia but it happens underground in NZ where safety standards and WHS standards are well behind Australia where people (unfortunately for the Australian Government) naturally live around two years longer than kiwis.
