F-Train - The Frictionless Train to be used on the Perpetual Motion Adelaide to Sydney Train Project

Modelled on the children's mono rail ride at Keith in South Australia, the F-Train (short for frictionless train) is a revolutionary breakthrough in green technology. Using its own gravity and motion and sliding on a mono rail like track, the F-Train will carry passengers and goods across three Australian states once the $2.1 billion PTMAtSTP is completed in 2031.

Production of the new F-Trains has also started at the old Holden factory site in Adelaide. Now being developed into a business park, the F-Trains will be manufactured at the same location as the new $200 million 150 megawatts grid size storage battery project. It is envisaged the facility will be able to produce one complete F-Train each year.

The entire F-Train production team has recently been sent to Keith to play on the mono rail ride and get the feel for the project. Everyone will get at least two goes, and then has to go at the back of the line.

The Keith Bakery and Pie Shop is thrilled with the new development and has taken on an extra apprentice to cope with the demand for pies since the F-Train production crew began visiting the area.

The Keith Chamber of Commerce spokesperson, Bill, said the F-Train and the PTMAtSTP is the best thing to happen to the area.

"The town's slogan is "You're in the good country now", said Bill. "We're just thrilled that this little child's mono rail has generated a huge industry and new employment. It's like sometimes the best ideas are right under our noses".

More to come.
